Nina Aranda's Medical Fund

On December 26th, 2019 Nina Aranda became severely ill. Nina was transported by ambulance to HCA Houston Healthcare in Clear Lake because she was septic and her life was in danger. Nina had 3 major surgeries to her colon and the unimaginable to say the least would happen. Nina was resuscitated during her 1st surgery, her kidneys started shutting down, but Doctors were able to stabilize Nina.  Nina was diagnosed with "Mega Toxic Colon." By the grace of God, Nina fought hard, but encountered life changes.  On February 12th, 2020 after almost 50 days in the hospital, Nina was discharged and could go home. Nina's mom never left her daughter's side so both were getting to go home. Nina now has a new life and it’s been altered forever. Nina will have to adapt, learn, regain strength and have a “new normal” in life.  Nina has lost 81 pounds during this journey. She will have to wear an ileostomy bag indefinitely. Nina currently takes many medications and has to drink supplement drinks. She has a quick digestive system she is unable to absorb nutrients food replacements are required which are costly. The GoFundMe is to assist Nina with her medications, ongoing doctor visits, everyday bills and medical bills. Nina cannot work, she has a long road ahead, but a positive one because God has bigger plans for Nina.  Nina’s insurance will end soon leaving her the option to pay $500.00 for a Cobra plan which seems unimaginable with no income.  Medical expenses are building up and bills have already come in.  Her immediate family members are doing what they can to help.
