Help Nina Heal: A Fight for Life and Happiness

This is Nina. She is a poodle mix, and the sweetest soul you'll ever meet. She has brought pure love and joy, but life hasn't been so kind in return.

A few years ago, she was diagnosed with Intervertebral Disk Disease (IVDD), so she needs special care. She has a permanent limp due to her rear legs being partially immobilized. This has caused her to be incontinent and live in a diaper. Despite this, we've done our best to ensure she leads a good, happy life.

But recently, new health issues have emerged, causing her to vomit, become lethargic, and unable to move on her own. Her breathing sounds labored or pained.

We took her to the vet, who said Nina is currently battling a heart murmur, dental issues, and a worsening of her IVDD symptoms, and he recommended a series of expensive diagnostics to find out what treatment she requires.

We began trying to gather the funds for this by starting to do food delivery for extra income. We explored other ways too, such as grants from non-profits, and credit options, which ultimately have not worked.

She is only getting worse as the days go by and we are worried she might not make it. We went to the vet again by scraping together every last penny we could find. She was prescribed Enrofloxacin (an antibiotic), Cerenia (for vomiting), Entyce (to stimulate her appetite), subcutaneous fluids, and a can of special, nutrient-dense food. But these have not succeeded in treating the root cause.

Seeing her suffer is heartbreaking. Worse is feeling powerless to help her. She does not deserve this. As her health deteriorates we are doing everything we can to give her the care and attention she needs.

We have reached a point where we cannot do this alone, so we are humbly reaching out for your support.
