Lahaina Fire~Nishijima Ohana

Aloha, my husband, my mother-in-law, and I, Cara, lost everything including my car and his truck, during the August 8, 2023 Lahaina fire. Any donations we receive will help us rebuild our lives. As of 8/30/23, we have not been able to actually walk on our property. We have seen a video that my friend was able to take. She also sent us the picture that we had posted. Mahalo for your help.

We have finally been able to get onto our property and thanks to Samaritan's Purse were able to sift through most our property where we thought necessary. I posted some more pictures of our home, some things we found, including my only surviving Derby glass, and me holding my new friend. I was worried about him but he survived. We used to hear him daily a few houses over. Such devastation this fire has caused not only our home but also my school King Kamehameha III is gone. We go back tomorrow. Princess Nahienaena has graciously allowed us to restart on their campus.
