Nite Ride - Short Film

Oki/Tan'si/Danit'ada/ãba waθtéč/Salut/Hello everyone,
We are a collective of BIPOC artists and filmmakers who are creating a short grindhouse film, Nite Ride.
Filmed on location in Treaty 7, Calgary, AB, Nite Ride centres around four friends who go on an evening bike ride while, unbeknown to them, they are being followed and eventually attacked by supernatural creatures of the night.
Help us make this hilarious and gritty short film come to life!
We are going to be using the funds to cover the hard costs associated with the film; artist fees, song fees, equipment rentals/purchases, wardrobe purchases, etc ...
Our goal is to create a short that not only engages/employs BIPOC youth and community, but showcases our resilience through humour and kick butt action scenes.
We are planning on combining our skills to not only build our film making capacities, but mentor the youth we are working with as well.
We will be show casing the complete project, around the middle/end of November for the youth/community who not only worked on but supported the project. This screening will be free of charge and open to the public.
The funds we raise here will also help cover the costs of renting a space as well as cover the fees for snacks and pop at the screening.
We are also seeking out a few grants to supplement our budget.
We are planning on shooting midway through October, 2018.
Currently, our team is as follows:
