BARB FUND

Hi, my name is Amy Claps and I'm a freshman at NIU. I live in new hall, and every morning, a wonderful woman named Barb always welcomes not only me, but each and every individual with a smile. Not only this, but she remembers all of the regulars' names, asks them how they're doing, and goes about this very genuinely. Over time, I have noticed how much of a connection she has with many of the students, and how many people just absolutely adore her as a person. With this, I've gotten close to her, and one day I was talking to her and she mentioned that she "has a lot of many medical bills to pay off". I learned that she had battled cancer. Once she said that, I realized  that there are many on campus that would love to help her out, with any amount of money, whether it be a generous donation, or a few dollars. It all adds up, and I would like to put a smile on Barb's face, just as she does for hundreds of us on campus. I have so much respect for her for appreciating what she has already in life, without complaints or a bad attitude. She deserves this finacial support, and if anyone is willing to contribute, not only would that make me very happy, but also her. She is actually being recognized at a basketball game this February, which I will post more about, but this is where we would give her this money. It would be nice for all of us to go and not only support the team, but also her if we'd be able to make it. Seeing her light up would be so heartfelt, and I'm looking for any amount of money to support her. Thank you for those who have read this.
