Support Nivek’s Triple Negative Breast Cancer Challenge

Meet Niv. Loving wife, mumma, daughter, friend, nurse, sister and Aunt. She is as tough and stoic as they come, which is quite fitting considering she is going to have to muster all these qualities as she braces herself for a challenging few months. 

A few weeks ago, at 33 weeks pregnant with her 3rd gorgeous Bub, Niv was diagnosed with advanced breast cancer. There wasn’t a lot of time to grieve, or feel sorry for herself ,as she had to commence chemo right away, as well as preparing for the birth of a much wanted little baby. 

Less than 10 days after baby Felix arrived safely into the world, Niv resumed her 4th round of chemo ,which will be followed by a gruelling regime of surgery and radiation.

It’s no secret that adding a newborn into the family dynamics is no easy feat, but having the birth of your child overshadowed by cancer is something nightmares are made of. 

If you know Niv and Tom, you’d know they aren’t the type to ask for help , but are always happy to assist others. We have no doubt Niv will get through this with her usual grit and determination.

Our goal here is three fold - to raise funds that will go directly towards running their household in the form of a nanny or regular cleaner, as well as a meal delivery service and costs to support Niv's treatment.

Our next goal is to assist the family with engaging with allied health in the form of occupational therapists, physical trainers, dietician support, and family counselling, over the next few months/years depending on the ongoing treatment.

We are aware that times are tough and everyone is feeling the pinch. We also know people are generous and want to know how they can help. A small contribution will go a long way to support this lovely young family as they navigate the next few tricky months.
