Nixon the French SpinalSurgery Fund
Donation protected
I wish I had Nixon's special ability. From the first day I met him as a puppy and became his loving mom, I noticed his uncanny ability to go anywhere at anytime and make anyone smile with just one look. From his little pig body, to his not so little ears and his sweet smushed face always adorned with a genuine Frenchie smile, my little man can make anyone's day brighter.
Although he still has this ability, he no longer has the ability to walk. Just a few days ago on the evening of Wednesday, November 19, 2014, Nixon's life changed forever. For some reason, which I have been unable to find out due to the cost of advanced imaging studies for animals, he is having spinal cord issues that have caused him to lose all motor function in his back legs. He can no longer trot around or engage in one of his most favorite pastimes, playing fetch with himself on the stairs-- throwing the ball down from the top, chasing and retrieving it, only to run back up the stairs and repeat. The only suggestion the doctors can make to hopefully get him back to his normal self is surgery that is financially out of my reach. Time is a critical element in the factor of his outcome, but I am not ready to let him go. He is still a young puppy full of life, love and happiness he would like to continue to share with the world.
So please, if Nixon has ever made you smile, laugh or just made your day a little sweeter, please consider donating to his medical bills so he has the opportunity to do it again. Anything and everything helps.
Hugs and licks -- xoxo,
kimi and Nixon
Please enjoy some pictures of Nixon:
Nixon on his birthday this year; he turned 4 on October 12, 2014.
Nixon learning how to swim this past summer. He wasn't very good, but wants some more practice in summer 2015!
Nixon on Christmas day 2013; he'd love to enjoy this holiday season because he's the best present a mom could find under her tree!
Nixon would love to be back in party mode-- after all, he's the best at working a room full of people.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
