Niyah, Joslyn & Jude Medical and Care Fund

No one ever thinks they’ll be in this position, yet here we are. We are utterly devastated to share that Angela and her three-year-old daughter, Eden, were tragically killed in a car accident Saturday morning, March 4th. Angela was on her way to be with family when for unknown reasons, she lost control of the car, which flipped over while all four of her sweet babies slept in the back seats. We were told they were all ejected. For more, you can read below:
Niyah (10), Joslyn (7) and Jude (5), not only lost their little sister and beloved mother—the center of their universe—in this accident, but they also sustained severe injuries themselves. Sadly, and unbeknownst to the family, their car insurance PIP coverage had lapsed, and although it was reinstated, it was a day late. We have been told the insurance company will not honor the policy. The remaining family is tirelessly working to advocate and care for Niyah, Joslyn, and Jude. In the meantime, the hospital and medical bills are quickly piling.
Niyah will be facing multiple surgeries. She’s already undergone two surgeries: one to place pins in her femur and knee cap. Her ligaments have had to be re-attached in several places, and she’ll have plastic surgery on her face for severe lacerations. She also had a lacerated liver and multiple sprains. She’s slated to be in a wheelchair for the next several months and will face a long road of therapy and rehabilitation as she recovers.
We have started this Go Fund Me to raise money to assist in the long-term rehab and recovery, medical bills and homecare, and counseling that each of these beautiful kids will need going forward. All money raised will go directly towards the care they need and will be overseen and responsibly managed by Niyah's father, CJ Rodriguez, and Angela’s two surviving siblings, Kara and Jamis, who have and will continue to advocate for their nieces and nephew whom they have a strong and loving bond. Any money raised beyond the healthcare needs listed above will be divided equally and go towards a Florida prepaid college fund.
More than anything, it is our goal now to help Niyah, Joslyn, and Jude as much as possible; to provide long-term support and stability, and to give them so much love as they adjust to an unknown future that has so tragically been forever altered.
No donation is too small. Thank you.
