Officer Schumann Medical Fund

For those that don’t know me my name is Victor Diaz and I’m starting this Go Fund Me account for my friend, co-worker and brother in arms.  James went to the doctor after noticing some changes to his body. Officer James Schumann was diagnosed with Testicular Cancer on July 18, 2015. 

James has had one surgery to remove the Cancer already and is currently in the Hospital fighting off an infection from that surgery.  James has been told by his Physicians that at least two more surgeries will be needed and a round of Chemotherapy.           

James has two children and has been a Police Officer for 15 years.  James has been a Detective for the past 8 years and was transferred, at his request to the Patrol Division last month.  He has served on the SWAT team and Honor Guard where he is currently assigned as a Sniper. 

As if that wasn’t enough, James served in the Marine Corps for 4 years and later joined the Army National Guard where he is currently a Staff Sergeant. 

For our Police Department this will be the second Officer Diagnosed with Cancer in the last 3 months.  Officer Brookhart is well on his way to fighting off his cancer and we look forward to his healthy return.   

We all know insurance only pays a portion of the medical expenses.         

All donations will go to James to help pay for his medical expenses.
