Help Kakuma Refugee Camp LGBTQ Residents buy food & shelter
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Helen and I am fundraising for the people of Kakuma Refugee Camp in Kenya for the LGBTQ minorities. Any means of support here will help these residents to buy food, materials to make shelter and keep warm, and tents to sleep in. The LGBTQ are currently struggling to survive daily in their country as they are given a separate place to live due to the high amount of homophobia taking place in the entire country, as they would be mocked just to have some help and a place to sleep. Their own country makes the LGBTQ residents feel unwelcome to the shelters available to them, as they are out numbered to all the other people in the camp. Whenever needed assistance from others, instead, they receive stigmatization and discrimination that does not allow real friendships amongst the other people in the community because they are falsely believed to be demons. Their country also suffers from heavy rainstorms, which for the LGBTQ community, their shelters get destroyed from the storms, with your kind donations, your funds will help these mistreated residents to survive with buying shelter to have a warm place to sleep in, medicine for when they become sick, and food to eat.
