Riding for seizures in New Jersey!
Tax deductible
Why are we riding a 30 mile bike-a-thon (some of us are riding 55 miles!) on the Jersey shore? To raise desperately needed funds for Epilepsy Free, a small and wonderful not-for-profit organization.
Let me explain why Epilepsy Free is fantastic and needs to stick around.
It is one of the few not-for-profits that provides scholarships for children and adults who suffer from seizures with no "state of residence restriction." Applicantions can come from all over the US and they do! The other thing that makes Epilepsy Free unique is that it grants continuing education scholarships (college, trade) to adults with ALL TYPES of seizures. This includes persons with Epilepsy AND Psychogenic non-epileptic seizures (PNES).
Over the last few years, Epilepsy Free has been able to grant scholarships to many children and adults who have seizures and needed help to pay for pricy specialized epilepsy camps or for high school expenses. To be able to continue, we need your help.
Who are we? Doctors from the Northeast Regional Epilepsy Group, patients, spouses, children, friends who have all come together to ride for seizures.
We ride on September 24, 2017, so please try to help out before this date.
Thank you in advance for any size donation you can give! Lorna
