Help Heba's Family Evacuate Gaza's Horrors

From the heart of Gaza, amidst the rubble and ruins left by the harrowing events of October 7th, 2023, stands a determined Palestinian girl named Heba Hussam 21 years old – that's me.

As of today April 23, 2023 over 36,000 Palestinians in Gaza are brutally killed in just 6 months, while hundreds of thousands are missing or under the rubble to be found dead

I used to have big dreams, dreams of becoming an architect and building a better future for myself and my beloved family, I was almost there and very close to achieving my dream, but then the horrific and unjust war started, and my dreams turned into a living nightmare and it snatched away everything.

My university was bombed, our home is now a memory, and we were forced to move south close to the Egyptian border

My siblings, once so full of life, are now haunted by the nightmares of war. They are not able to sleep, eat, learn, and pursue their dreams like any normal child of their age. There are no schools to attend as they are either destroyed or used as shelters. My Brother Ali (18 years old ) was supposed to be in his last year of High School, my youngest sister Haya (6 years old ) was supposed to start her first year of school. Even my brother Omar (16 years old) is no longer able to get an education.

My sister Haya has been robbed of her childhood along with us, she has witnessed and experienced atrocities that causes mental torture.

My siblings and I are denied from the basic life necessities, water food, shelter and the chance to pursue our education amidst this devastation, on top of that, every day we stay up on the terrifying sounds of Israeli fighter jets and tanks that threatens us. Diseases like Hepatitis and many others, due to contamination of food and water and scarcity which causes severe stomach pain. we have no access to basic necessities like electricity. Every day is a struggle for survival as we must scavenge for food and firewood for cooking while simultaneously being surrounded by tanks and enduring constant bombardment.

Because of the war in Gaza we are in an economic crisis our saving are drained and whatever we have left no longer has a value due to relentless rising prices due to war. E

We never thought of leaving our home and city, but the war doesn’t seem to end and if it does, we are not sure if we will live or be able to continue to live under the rubble! That’s way we need all the support we can get to help us leave Gaza

The cost of escape and temporary shelter in Egypt is more than my family can afford, crossing into Egypt has become ridiculously expensive, so I am relying on your generosity to help me and my family (6 members “5 adults – 1 child” ) find some peace, start a new life and complete our education abroad.

We are seeking to raise money to cover the following

* Travel fees for 5 adults & 1 child: cost of crossing into Egypt border: (5000 USD ~ CAD 6700) per adult over 16 years & (2500 USD ~ CAD 3800) per child under 16 years

* Initial costs in Egypt: such as renting a place, buying food and basic clothing

* Medical treatment, drug prescriptions & physiocratic consultation charges

* Studying Fees to complete my engineering degree in addition to enrolling my sibling in school
