Dear Friends and Family,
I don't know a person who knows Debbie that doesn't associate her, firstly, as a Child and Servant of God. She lived a life of service for her loved ones, friends, and the Baha'i Community. She showed up for everybody and many knew that at any hour, they could call Debbie and she would be ready and willing to serve. To know someone like this is a rare and precious privilege and I don't think any of us are ready to let her physical presence go.
Debbie was diagnosed with Cervical cancer about 2 years ago and has strongly fought to beat it the whole way through. Not only did she follow her Doctor's orders to the T and beyond, but she also remained in such high spirits throughout and insisted everyone around her do the same. She did not let cancer define her and she was determined to beat it.
Unfortunately, it metastasized to Stage 4 rather quickly. On the week of August 26th, 2019 - we found out that there was no longer options for treatment. Debbie, nor her family and friends, expected this news. I don't think devastated even covers how we felt once we found out.
It's now September 6th, 2019 and she has passed, today. We now need your help to gather offerings and donations for the cost of her services and her personal finances. Since she was such a fighter, she did not prepare for this and because of that, did not wrap up her personal affairs. We have a goal of $20,000 but we are in need of whatever you can do to help her family wrap up her affairs with ease.
Thank you for all that you can do and we thank you for your love and adoration for her over the years.
Blessings to all.
