Living With Mold

I never thought that I would be doing this, but I find myself with no other choice. I've been living in my current apartment for over 20 years. During this time, I have had water damage approximately 4 times. This last time was the worst. My AC line backed up causing standing water in my bathroom. As a result, the carpeting in the hallway, bedroom, and dining area became soaked. The repairs were made by maintenance and the carpeting was dried out (not cleaned yet). The water damage caused a major mold problem. It's so bad that I am told major renovations have to be made in my apartment and I need to leave. Management here on this property is not doing anything to help me. There is damage to some of my furniture, so I don't expect to be taking it with me. I am I am told that management does not currently have a ground level apartment available. I have bad back problems which make stairs difficult for me. In the meantime, I am living with mold and inhaling whatever is here. I have chronic health issues and have concern that I will end up getting sick if I continue to stay here for any length of time. I have absolutely no resources to get me through this. I have to pack ( a friend is going to help me one day) and move. I might need a few simple pieces of furniture to get me through. I am not looking to furnish a whole apartment. I can do without most things for now. The main thing is that I DO NOT have the resources to actually move out of here. This may not be what you are used to hearing from people, but it is my story. I have had to swallow my pride to do this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. And when I am able, I would like to be able to pay it forward some day, in some way. Thanks for listening.
