Dear Friends and Family,
It is never easy to hear a loved one has cancer at such a young age. Recently our family was given the news that my 31 year old cousin has cancer. It originated as testicular cancer, which was discovered on February 7th, and he underwent surgery on February 24th where they removed the mass and confirmed it was cancer. On March 18th he had severe abdominal pain and was taken to the ER. He had a large mass in his abdomen and then the next day was sent to the Oncologist who again confirmed that it was Stage 3B cancer as well as confirmed that it has also spread to his lungs. Ryan started intense Chemo on March 20th and will continue to undergo Chemo for 12 weeks. Ryan lives in Las Vegas with his mom and step dad and once Chemo is complete they will be transferring Ryan to USC where he will have surgery and have a stem cell transplant.
As a mother I cannot imagine my child going through this at any age. My Aunt Melody, Ryan’s mom, herself does not have great health and recently was in the hospital for weeks. The medical bills are overwhelming and she has had to take a lot of time off work which has been a drain on her finances.
Please join me in saying prayers and raising funds to help my family in this difficult time and the long road ahead for Ryan. Anything is so much appreciated.
