College tuition

The mission of the foundation is to further the Northeast Maritime Institute's creed of "Honoring the Mariner." Through scholarship and support, the foundation seeks to not only provide scholarships for students, but to further their professional education, training and certification needs for advancement in the maritime industry. Through both charitable and educational purposes, the foundation will turn those students of today into the mariners of tomorrow. 

We are currently striving to raise funds to help pay for two of our current college students at Northeast Maritime Institute. The Institute admits students based on character and does not take into consideration financial needs. Ergo, students are admitted even if the school has no means of covering their tuition costs. This is why we are reaching out to the community to try and help both the school and our students cover some of the costs. 

Carlos DaCosta (left in picture) enrolled into Northeast Maritime's College Program in September 2014. Since then, we have seen Carlos grow and mature. He is a hard worker and puts a lot of energy into his studies. He coaches basketball for kids in his community and is always willing to lend a helping hand. 
Reynaldo Pena enrolled into our College Program in September 2015. Rey is a great student, who is striving for excellence. Rey has a part time job to help his family, and has overcome significant personal struggles. He has become a great addition to our college family. It  has been great seeing him persevere and become a mature, focused young man.
