Food 4 Veteran Therapy Cooking
Donation protected
Imagine you're a veteran who's lost the use of an arm. How would you cook for yourself?
The Occupational Therapy Program at the Seattle VA Hospital teaches about 10 veterans a week how to prepare meals with their new capabilities. They cook regular food from local stores, but the ingredients can't be paid for with taxpayer funds. That's why Veterans And Friends of Puget Sound is raising money.
Will you help? $5 covers the raw ingrediants for an average lesson. Together, we will raise $500 to cover the next 10 weeks of classes, and then evaluate our success.
All of the money from your donation (minus whatever "gofundme" takes for its fee) will go to buy grocery gift cards donated to the OT Program for this purpose; nothing will be peeled off for overhead.
Join us! You will be feeding our veterans, but more importantly, you will help them take care of themselves!
