Help us bring Sadie home!

Our dear friend Sadie had been living in Albuquerque, NM and was the victim of a robbery on late Christmas night 2023. The assailant shot her in the back at point blank range (the gun was directly on her back) and left her on the street. She suffered massive damage to her lungs. It was very touch and go for quite awhile, however, miraculously, she survived this encounter but has been left paralyzed from the chest down. She has been in a hospital setting ever since and has been making great improvements and is learning how to care for herself.

Unfortunately, our system is not set up to help people in Sadie's situation long term. She was already horribly mistreated in one facility and the rehab hospital where she currently is will not keep her for much longer. We need to figure out how to get her back to PA where she can be closer to family and where we can make sure she is being properly taken care of.

All money raised will be used to transport Sadie back to Pennsylvania and any extra will be used to help get her set up with housing, medical care, and anything else that she will need once she gets here. Any amount you can give will help immensely!
