Christy's Recovery

Donation protected
On Saturday, March 19th , my sister Christy Arrowood, her 3 children, Gaven, Sadie and Matthew as well as their father Zach were in a devastating head on collision. Everyone was transported to Greenville Memorial Hospital to receive immediate care. Gaven was admitted with a horrible seat belt burn on his neck and bad brusing on his stomach. Matthew walked away with a black eye and is now showing signs of PTSD. Sadie Grace spent several days in the hospital with a fractured back and will be in a back brace for the next 12 weeks. Zach was in the hospital for several days and had to have multiple stitches on his head, arm, leg, and finger. Christy's hospital stay is undetermined at the moment with multiple broken bones including both of her ankles, heels and legs, wrist, arm, 2 torn acls, 2 fractured ribs, and 27 stitches and staples. She has already undergone 4 surgeries to place pins, plates and rods to repair the breaks and will likely undergo a few more. When she is finally released from the hospital she will go to a rehab facility where she will learn to walk again, a journey that will take no less than 4-6 months.

The children have all been released from the hospital and are being cared for by family until Christy is able to get back on her feet but until then she will have no income and her household financial responsibilities will begin to stack up along with all of the medical bills related to this accident. Her car was totaled and with only liability insurance she won't receive any sort of payout in order to buy a new vehicle when the time comes and she is able to drive again.

Even going through the worst pain of her life, Christy cannot stop thinking about her children having never been separated from them for more than a night to now being completely unable to see them because of the new visitor regulations due to covid. Christy is a great sister, mother and friend with a huge heart who has never hesitated to do for others in any way that she can. If you are able, please help by contributing any monetary amount, big or small. These funds will be used to help Christy maintain her household while she is unable to work, help alleviate the stress of the ensuing medical bills and hopefully help her purchase a decent vehicle when the time comes. We are grateful for your help.
