Hello, my name is Hannah, and I truly appreciate you taking a moment of your time to read Gus’s story.

Recently, my partner Keith and I have discovered some serious health problems in our beloved Chesapeake Bay Retriever puppy Gus. Through multiple vet visits we’ve found that our brown clown has been diagnosed with bilateral hip dysplasia and ACL tears; a full tear of the left ACL and a partial tear of the right. Gus will need surgery on at least one of his legs and life long rehab for both. Gus is turning 2 years old this August and is a ray of sunshine and lovable ball of energy. Needless to say, it is completely breaking our hearts to see him wobbling around in pain when he just wants to be able to walk around, run, and play like his normal goofball self.

All funds donated will be put directly towards Gus’s left leg ACL surgery on Aug 1st. Any amount at all you’re willing to contribute for Gus would help our household out immensely and is GREATLY appreciated, and if you aren’t able to contribute money at this time, a share with your friends/family, and keeping Gus in your thoughts/prayers, would absolutely mean the world to us.

I think most of us understand that it can be difficult to reach out to others for help with vulnerable and emotional situations, but loved ones have reminded us recently that the community often really wants to help out. Keith and I want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for any support at all given in this difficult time… and Gus is obviously pretty non-verbal (for the most part lol), but I’m positive that if he could, he would say thank you as well.
