Support-Phil Skaggs Family- end stage brain cancer on Hospice
This emergency charity campaign has been created to help our brother-in- law Phil Skaggs, our disabled sister Melissa, their 2 disabled, developmentally delayed children, Carly and Casey Skaggs and their daughter Amanda who is a sophomore in college. They are suffering unimaginable hardship and grief at this time with Phil coming to the end of his life. This is an urgent and desperate financial crisis due to Phil’s inability to work any longer to pay for basic needs for the family including rent, utilities, car expenses, food, medicines, insurance premiums plus all the hospital bills for over a year of treatments for glioblastoma brain cancer. Our brother-in-law Phil has been the devoted caregiver and husband/father to our sister and their special needs children for 28 years. He worked full time to provide for his family and worked full time at home to care for their needs. In December 2014, he had surgery to remove a brain tumor and it was discovered that it was glioblastoma stage 4. He has fought hard to win this battle over this last year. We are heartbroken to report that he is now in Hospice care and we are unsure how much time he has left with us. Any amount of financial help would be a blessing to the family to provide a meal or gas money. The funds raised will go to the Phil Skaggs family to cover their immediate needs and medical costs. We are also searching for a rental home or apartment that will accommodate the disabilities that our sister, our nieces and nephew need to make this transition as easy as possible.
Please pray for God to surround our sister Melissa, Casey, Carly and Amanda with His Love during this heartbreaking time.
