No Barriers Walkathon 2020
Donation protected
Our favourite festive fundraiser is back! The No Barriers Foundation is hosting a 6,000 step Walkathon in our very own gym.
On Thursday 10th December, a team of inspirational No Barriers exercisers will be stepping into Christmas using our state-of the-art exoskeleton. All day we will be raising awareness and funds to help No Barriers continue making a difference for people with disabilities in Donegal and around the North West in 2021.
All of our participants are weekly users of the No Barriers exo suit and are happy to show us how it’s done.
Tune in to watch the Walkathon on The No Barriers Foundation Facebook Page and please support this GoFundMe campaign in any way you can.
No Barriers in Numbers
2016 - No Barriers was set up in this year to break down barriers to exercise and physical activity
1.5million - The number of steps we’ve taken in the No Barriers Exoskeleton so far
25 - the number of clients we welcome through our doors each week
5 - the number of team members working with our exercisers weekly
€120,000 - how much it takes to run the service each year
6,000 - how many steps we plan to complete at this year’s Walkathon
Where does the money go?
All donations will be used to fund specialist neuro rehab services for people who cannot access it through the HSE. Funds will support the continued delivery of the unparalleled exoskeleton service we offer for people with stroke, MS, brain injury or spinal cord injury in Donegal and the North West.
Thank You.
