No Barriers Walkathon 2022

We're back with our Walkathon Challenge! This March we are hosting a 5,000 step Walkathon in a state-of-the-art exoskeleton in our very own gym in Letterkenny.

Please support our amazing exercisers every step of the way. The Ekso Bionics exoskeleton suit is one of only 300 worldwide, and only 6 in Ireland, that allows people with paralysis or limited mobility to stand up and walk. At No Barriers we provide affordable access to this suit as part of our mission breaking down barriers to exercise for people with disabilities.

Using technology from around the globe and neuro-physiotherapy, the No Barriers team of Chartered Physiotherapists and Exercise Therapists support people in the locality with stroke, MS, brain injury or spinal cord injury. Many patients find that they have nowhere to go after being discharged from the HSE, but we are proud to be here to provide access to the correct exercise and physical activity for recovery.

All funds raised will be shared evenly between No Barriers, Spina Bifida & Hydrocephalus Ireland Donegal Branch, the Donegal Diabetes Parents Support Group. The three local charities are the beneficiaries of the 25th annual North West 10k, which takes place on Monday 2nd of May in Letterkenny. All money raised is going back into the community, and we thank you for your support.
