No Pituitary Gland, Allergy to Meds, & Vision Loss
Donation protected
Hi, I'm Hyapatia Lee and I suffered brain damage during a heartbreaking miscarriage decades ago. Extreme blood loss led to the death of my pituitary gland (Sheehan's Syndrome). It's the master gland.
Replacing the hormones it makes to sustain life has proven difficult. I'm allergic to the medications I’m supposed to take every day. We need cortisol to stay alive (Adrenal Insufficiency AKA Addison's Disease), but replacing it artificially causes a dangerous swelling of my airway (Anaphylaxis). Other steroids leave me with similar results.
The medication I was prescribed caused vision loss and I need surgery on both of my eyes. My out-of-pocket for this will be over five thousand dollars. Operating as soon as possible will give us the best results.
Any help you may be able to give is greatly appreciated and will go towards my medical expenses. Thank you very much for listening to my story and may the Creator bless you.
