No place like home - please help Joanie Wholey

Update 12/9/23: In order to continue the work to rehabilitate the condo, there is a $25,000 deductible that my Aunt Joan must pay for the condo association fire insurance.

Original Post: My Aunt, Joan Wholey, a long-time year-round resident of Block lsland suffered a devastating fire in her condo at Salt Pond Settlement on Monday, July 3. All within the condo was lost except her sweet lab Rosie who was rescued. The fire, soot and water damage is very extensive and the cost of making the condo a home again will be staggering. She had no insurance. Joan has given much to the community of Block lsland and has always exhibited generosity to others in need, even with a modest income. Block lsland is a special place where help is given to one another in times of need.

Please friends, near and far, open your hearts and help Joan at this most difficult time.
