Supporting each other, Vallarta and her resilient people will not only survive this difficult time, but we will be better and stronger for it!
Who we are: (This is 100% about supporting the No Sé Nada Bar y Restaurante team members....NOT NSN the business or Tim and Tracey the owners). No Se Nada Bar y Restaurante was conceived around the vision of creating a new Vallarta community experience with focus on building a service team that thrives on providing exceptional services, food and beverage offerings to every guest that honors us with a visit. In a short period of time, a great number of the NSN guests became like returning friends and family to the entire team. As most know, in 'normal' times the Vallarta bar and restaurant business challenges team members financially related to the seasonality of our beautiful city. With this horrific pandemic, the busy high season that the team (Jonathan, Cukis, Antonio, Tristan, Lorena, Elena and Lupita ) depends on to earn the greatest amount of tips to support their literal survival through the slow season was cut short by 3 months by the 'pinche' COVID-19 virus!.
What we, the owners, have done: Although Tim and I are not immune to the economic and emotional toll the Pandemic has created, we made the only decisions that we believe most appropriate for us during these extraordinary times: 1. Close NSN effective 19 March to assure the health and safety of our team and guests. Although we took 100% of the aseptic, cleaning and distancing requirements to assure the health of the team and guests while at NSN, our safety concern became most about the collateral risks outside our influence....i.e. exposure travel risks to and from NSN. 2. Use our medical background to assist the NSN team members, and others, with clear and concise factual education of COVID-19. 3. Communicate in complete candor and transparency with our team as to what is, and is not, possible during these extraordinary times and 4. contribute the profits NSN earned to support our team for an initial period of time. Unfortunately, it is extremely unlikely that this pandemic is going to completely resolve over the next month or two and the economic hardships are expected to last even much longer than that. Most in our position (small business owners in PV) believe, at best, it will be the beginning of the next high tourist season (7 to 9 months from now) before economic recovery is possible.
Our humble request for those that are able and desiring: In coordination with Puerto Vallarta TipsForTheMemories, we invite you to participate in the support of those that participate in what makes Vallarta so very special to all of us....the people experiences and personal connections. Any, and all, amounts will be of tremendous assistance and are greatly appreciated. For those that are able, we would like to offer one of the following as a special token of our appreciation for your shared generous support of your No Sé Nada team: For donations of 25 dollars or more, a 'famous' NSN Logo T-Shirt and for donations of 150 dollars or more (limited to the first 10 qualifying donors) a handcrafted, in the village of Tequila, Jalisco, a 1 liter NSN logo'd tequila barrel...sorry, the rules of GoFundMe, prevents us from including the Tequila!
