NO to Cancer, Help My Cousin Linda Live!

I grew up with my cousin, Linda Clark. Being the same age as me, we have shared many memorable occasions, fun times and laughter together throughout our lives. Linda is one of my family favorites, always being one to help another, make someone laugh or just plain offer support and compassion to another… ALWAYS.

In 2018 Linda was diagnosed with breast cancer. As terrifying as it was to receive that diagnosis, she was already dealing with OTHER drastic changes in her life, and was emotionally exhausted. Linda being Linda… she carried on. She endured her cancer treatments, worked, managed to keep up with her bills, despite radiation treatments, sickness and loss of income and continued to care for her family as a single mom. (By the way, she has worked at the HOSPITAL in her town for many many years!)

Linda’s tenacity through all of this was amazing. She went into remission for several years.

Last year (2022), she had persistent pain in her lower back. The pain grew astronomically, advancing until now she physically cannot do many things. On her birthday in August, her doctor sent her for a lower back x-ray and discovered BONE CANCER in her axial, skull base, cervical, thoracic, lumbar spine, pelvis, sacrum, sternum, bilateral ribs, bilateral scapula, humeri, femurs and lf proximal tibial, so basically throughout her whole body.

Linda started hormone pills and so many pain medications. They didn’t work. She became sicker and lost more energy. Doctors have now switched her to chemotherapy EVERY week for 12 WEEKS. She is pushing back, fighting to get better, to keep working, to pay her bills, but she has been so sick and tired that she has had to take a medical leave from her full-time job while going through treatments. LINDA needs our help! My heart is breaking. Please make her life a little easier by helping her to live, to pay her bills and keep her home. Every little bit counts. She is a spark of happiness in this heavy world, worth supporting, no matter how much she has been refusing help, trying to do it all herself.
