Legal Challenge against Hammond's Farm Preferred Option
Donation protected
Dear Friends and Supporters,
We urgently need your help to challenge the reckless decisions being made by Chelmsford City Council (CCC) that threaten our communities. CCC has irresponsibly selected Hammond's Farm as the preferred option for development in the local plan—a decision we believe is gravely flawed and detrimental to our area. In response, the Parish Councils of Little Baddow, Danbury, Sandon, and Boreham have united in a firm stand against this development.
16a in the Local Plan: Hammond's Farm is the proposed new garden Community consisting of 3,100 houses and 500,000 square feet of industrial and business park to be built on prime high quality farmland.
16b in the Local Plan: An additional 500,000 square feet for business park and industrial site development will be built on prime high quality farmland.
This massive development will forever alter the character of our area bringing massive disruption with no expansion of infrastructure.
Why This Matters
The selection of Hammond's Farm for development raises significant concerns:
Environmental Devastation: Potential catastrophic harm to local wildlife and natural habitats.
Infrastructure Overload: Unsustainable pressure on already strained roads, schools, and healthcare facilities.
Disregard for Community Voice: A decision that blatantly ignores the voices and concerns of local residents.
Loss of Precious Farmland: Irreversible destruction of high-quality farming land at a time when food security is paramount.
Our Goal
We are determined to raise funds to cover the legal fees necessary to mount a vigorous challenge against this disastrous decision. Our goal is to ensure that any development in our area is conducted fairly, transparently, and in a way that genuinely reflects the needs and desires of our community.
How You Can Help
Your contributions will directly fund:
