Noah Higgins could use some help!

Noah Higgins is my 20 year old son, one of Canada’s top professional disc golfers, and one of the gentlest and kindest young men around. On Monday morning, March 11 Noah experienced a paralyzing seizure while driving himself to Castle Mtn for a day of snowboarding. He experienced another seizure when he arrived home after refusing treatment, another in the ambulance on route to hospital, and a fourth on arrival at the emergency room. He currently has no recollection of any events that day, and is still experiencing significant short term memory loss. Noah has a long history of severe and complex autoimmune issues, but no history of seizures or anything like this. 4 days later he remains in hospital with no clear answers on what caused this. We’re all grateful to live in a country with first class public health care, but Noah has a tough road ahead of coping with severe personal financial loss from lost income, extensive damage to his truck, and the requirement that he not drive until he’s had 6 months seizure free. Noah will require full time supervision for the foreseeable future, will need to make substantial lifestyle adjustments, and it’s unknown when he can return to work. He is so grateful for the outpouring of love and support, and is surrounded by friends and family that love him dearly. What Noah needs right now more than anything is as much support as we can all give him to lift the stress and pressure of the life adjustments and recovery ahead of him. If you know Noah, you already know how kind, selfless, and self sufficient he is. I’d ask that if you’re able to help ease his burdens ahead with even a small financial gift please do, and we as a team can lift Noah back to the amazing man that he is, doing the things for himself and others that he excels at. ❤️
