Noche Oscura - A Cyberpunk Neo Noir Short Film

A young street kid criminal lies half dead in an alleyway, knocking on deaths door. He's approached by a devilish figure who gives him a choice. Get jammed full of experimental cybernetics to save his life - but become property of the police department, or die.

Quickly rising through the ranks, JC Howell becomes one of the best detectives on the force, despite his young age. While investigating a bizarre murder, an old enemy is revealed, sending him on a quest for revenge.

Noche Oscura is a neo-noir crime thriller set in a cyberpunk Albuquerque, inspired by the likes of Bladerunner, Cyberpunk 2077, Detroit: Become Human, and Astral Chain.

Written, DP'd, and produced by Ryuichiro Morgan, directed by Olivia Sim, this film will be produced as a capstone project to graduate from the Film & Digital Media Arts program at the University of New Mexico. The money from this fundraiser will go towards feeding the cast and crew, costuming, transportation, securing locations & permits, and potentially equipment rental.
