Noelle's Transition Fundraiser

My name is Noelle and I am a 34 year old transgender woman living in Austin, Texas. I am hoping to fund a life-changing gender affirming surgery in Spring 2022.  I am an ICU nurse and I have worked at my current job for almost 5 years. I love my job, but the hospital I work for has a religious affiliation and they refuse to allow the health insurance they provide pay for gender affirming surgery.  When I first started at my job they warned us that they didn't pay for things like birth control, but they never mentioned anything about gender affirming healthcare. Unfortunately, this process is going to be very expensive without help from my insurance. 

I am also hoping to go back to college in Summer 2022 to become a Nurse Anesthetist. My dream is to help other transgender people during their own gender affirming surgeries. My hope is to have my surgery completed before I start attending school. Otherwise I would have to wait until after I graduate due to the lengthy healing process. 

Unfortunately,  I need at least part of the funds quickly in order to secure a Spring 2022 surgery date. 

This surgery would allow me to have the body I have always wanted. It would really help alleviate my gender dysphoria and help me focus on other aspects of my life and future.
