Fly High Fields Scholarship 2024
Donation protected
The Fly High Fields Foundation was started in honor of Nolan Fields, who passed away from Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma at the age of 19. Our Mission is to keep Nolan's giving legacy alive by raising scholarships for cancer survivors. Nolan was a loving and caring person to everyone he met, and we hope to positively impact as many lives as possible in dedication to him.
The Fly High Fields Foundation has hosted 2 sporting clay tournaments and 1 partnered tailgate event, and have awarded 3 scholarships to very deserving candidates. Alex Cook received the first Fly High Fields Foundation scholarship. Alex, recent UAB Graduate, has pursued his dream and is now a high school English teacher. Isabella Shimko-Lofano was the second recipient and she is majoring in Pre-Med at Auburn University in hopes to one day become an Oncologist. Our most recent recipient is Carmelo Lampley, who is currently at Shelton State, pursuing a degree in Business Management and HVAC. Nolan and Carmelo had a special relationship that started at Children's Hospital while both undergoing treatment. Carmelo was actually apart of a program Nolan was involved with to help mentor young kids in the Montgomery area. Nolan was Carmelo's direct mentor and they both touched each others hearts and created many good memories with each other. Carmelo states, "he strives everyday to make his mom and Nolan proud." With the magnificent story and battle he has endured he has definitely made his mom and Nolan proud!
With the support of donations and awareness, we can continue to fight this battle and help many more survivors achieve great things. We are happy to announce we are partnering with Kappa Alpha at the University of Alabama to do our second Tailgate Fundraiser for the Alabama vs Georgia game, Sept. 28, 2024. We hope to see you there!
We humbly ask for your support for this years fundraiser! Fly High Fields!
