Nolan's Mom Must Secure His Future Today

Acting in the best interest of your child is a difficult task, especially when that child has parents who aren’t living together or on the same page about how to raise them. Mediation can help settle these issues, but it’s an expensive process. Parents can potentially salvage the co-parenting relationship, but this still requires the help of an attorney.
Nolan has found himself in the middle of a potential time bomb. His parents need to find more ways to compromise on his custody and raising, but that will only work if both agree to mediation.
That being said, mediation will keep the poor kid out of court. It’ll keep his life more or less normal. And normal is pretty ok when you’re five.
Sara’s is a friend of mine and Nolan is her biological son, who has lived with her primarily for the five years of his short little life.

In other words, this isn’t about “winning.” It’s about giving Nolan all the chances he can get for the best life possible, even if that's not with her.
Due to some paperwork issues, Sara’s being forced to prove that she has full legal rights to her own son. She’s having to prove that Nolan’s normal is with her on a day to day basis. Sara has retained a lawyer on Nolan’s behalf to serve his best interests, still with the intention to mediate this escalating situation.
Despite the urgency, Sara’s on disability and this is an expense that she just can’t manage without some help. She needs a hand navigating this process to ensure Nolan’s long-term stability and well-being.
