Nolan’s continued journey to health ❤️

Donation protected
2024 was supposed to be a year for new beginnings, new adventures, new memories and for the Davis family, unfortunately, it is devastating news.

On January 26th, we received the news that Nolan’s JMML cancer has returned. What started as low platelets and questionable blood test results, has now been confirmed the cancer has returned and is starting to overtake Nolan’s body again. Nobody wishes for cancer and NOBODY deserves cancer twice.

This doesn’t seem real, it feels like a nightmare. It was just last month when Nolan got the approval to continue back to preschool. Courtney(mom) had just landed a career job, and Derek(dad) had been on the path to return to work as well. All of this was ripped away with the news, all of this put on the back burner in order for Nolan to get the attention he needs from mom and dad.

Since the heart-wrenching news, Derek and Courtney have been working side by side with doctors and nurses to create a plan to put Nolan’s future in the best hands possible. On February 5th, Nolan will be admitted to Sick Kids Hospital Toronto for a week-long stint of chemo therapy. After this, another Bone Marrow Transplant is in conversation, but with that comes questions. Will Nolan’s body be strong enough and ready for a transplant? Who will be the bone marrow donor? These are all the questions we’ll have along this journey, and nothing but time will be able to answer them. Unfortunately, time is not on our side right now. Nolan is a fighter, and he will continue to fight every day.

Anyone who has been following Nolan’s journey can attest that Nolan is a strong little boy with a personality that could light up any room he enters. Nolan and his family have a long road ahead of them. With the support of our community, anything is possible, and we keep reminding everyone that miracles do happen.

We know this is asking a lot, but we have a ton of faith in our family, friends and our community. We appreciate any donations, any kind words or any prayers in direction to our sweet Nolan. Without the love and support from you, we wouldn’t be able to give Nolan the attention and support he will need every day along this journey. This will help keep food on their plates, hospital costs, childcare for other siblings and the everyday bills at home. If you can’t help financially, please know that by sharing this link and Nolan's story to see as many eyes as possible will help along the way to give Nolan the best chance to fight his sickness with both of his parents there every step of the way.

From the bottom of our hearts, we can’t offer enough thank you’s, especially to those who have followed our story and have helped in many ways thus far. We will keep everyone up to date on the progress of Nolan through this journey. He has overcome it once, he can do it again.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

On behalf of Nolan, Derek, Courtney, Bradley, Callie and family ❤️
