Nomads Junior Rugby 2017 Fundraiser

As Nomads Juniors Rugby grows and prospers so does it need for funds.
It’s our absolute delight to report that Nomads Junior rugby has experienced another successful year on the field.
The Club enjoyed strong growth particularly at the U8 and U10 boys and girls, U14 boys and U18 girls teams.
We were also pleased to see Nomads’ players’ quality recognized through player selections to Teams Ontario [U15, U16, U18, U19 boys and U18 girls] and Canada [U18, U19 boys], and were further thrilled with call-ups to the Maple Leaf 7s, Canada’s seven-aside development team, where Nomads junior players earned three of twelve spots!
As you know, our typical season consists of a comprehensive junior rugby program that runs from January to November each year:
- Winter training – January to March
- Spring Training – April to May
- Summer training – May to August
- Fifteen-aside competitions, games and tournaments for all age brackets and genders
- Seven-aside competition, games and tournaments, and,
- Support and oversight from a professional Technical Director alongside many other benefits.
Thanks to the generosity of our gracious sponsors Nailor Industries, Hub Equipment, The Carpenters Union, Sirco-Haas, Greenland Resources, Upstream Works and Peter’s No Frills, Nomads has historically been able to cover two-thirds of the program cost by contribution with only one-third of our playing cost borne by membership fees.
To maintain this funding ratio while growing the opportunities available to us, the Junior Club has embraced a one-time $30,000 fundraising goal. These funds will capitalize Nomads for future growth, and improve the Club’s ability to plan our programs sustainably, year-over-year.
We are seeking your help and support for this important initiative.
Please give generously. We thank you in advance for your consideration.
