Nonbinary Psychotherapy Trainee raises Fund for Training

Hi,

My name is Zahra. I am nonbinary from the global south. I started my personal therapy eight years ago. During this journey, I've faced many biases against my gender. I had to explain and bring rationals to justify myself. And, my gender was never taken into account as a legitimate topic per se, rather it was understood as consequences of other issues that needs to be solved.

This became a motivation for me to focus on gender as a psychotherapist to give voice to people in the margine coming to express themselves freely; a psychotherapist for nonbinary and trans people to be specific.

Now, I am a psychodynamic psychotherapy trainee at the bpf starting my year 3. I struggle to afford my training fee because it is not designed for people of the margin. Rather, it is designed for those with privileges, those who try to fit every one in the category of cis-heteronormativity. This systematic pressure aims to stop us from being therapists for our community, what we need to fight against together.

The money I ask for is the fee for year 3 of my training which makes continuing my path incredibly difficult. So, I ask for your support not to be stopped from reaching my goals and making a future of our own, a trans future.
