Miguel and Teresa's Journey

Miguel and Teresa met 9 years ago on a bus in Florida. A year and a half later they moved in together. In May of 2010 Teresa started feeling very tired, so she went to the clinic for blood work. Teresa's blood level was at a 4.5 (16 is normal). Miguel was told to bring her to the emergency room immediately, where she stayed for 8 days. She was diagnosed with kidney failure. In July of that year they got married, by August Teresa fell into complete kidney failure. They began doing dialysis treatments 3-4 times a week for a year. Dialysis wasn't really helping, and ultimately Teresa needed a kidney transplant. With little luck and little hope, they picked their things and moved to New Jersy with hopes for better doctors, hospitals, oppeotunities, and support. Miguel's brother took both him and his wife in. Elvis set miguel up with a job at Houlihans which is where I met him 3 years ago. I became extremely good friends with Miguel. Things really started looking up for him, he currently works 2 jobs, and received the greatest news they could ever receive. Miguel and Teresa are matches and Miguel will be donating his kidney to her in June of this year. I am setting this up in order to help pay for surgery, medicine, and loss of work. Please help in anyway you can to help in Miguel and Teresa's Journey. They are genuinely the most hardworking, giving, and loving people you could ever meet. No matter how sick Teresa is, I have never seen her without a smile on her face. Thank you.
