Nora Perez

My name is Tomas Perez IV and I'm raising funds for my mother Nora who is recovering in the hospital. First, I want to say thank you to everyone who has been so supportive to us through all the hardships we've been through. We have been given so much love and generosity from all of you in the past and words cannot describe how much my family and I appreciate everything you have done for us.

Recently my family has come into more hard times. My mom has been in the hospital for nearly a week now and is currently in the ICU. She had originally come to the hospital because she had some swelling that had caused her discomfort for the last month. She had some tests done and everything seemed normal for the most part. However, on Monday just before my dad and I were getting ready to leave for the night, she suddenly stopped breathing. It happened so fast that if we hadn't been in the room she wouldn't be alive now and receiving the lifesaving treatment that she desperately needs. She is currently being watched in the ICU and we hope she has a speedy recovery and comes home soon.

Most people know we've experienced these hardships before. My mom had been in the hospital before because of complications with her liver. My dad Tom had lost his job as well so we struggled with paying the bills along with the medical expenses. Thankfully my dad just got hired as an instructor at TSTC and will soon be teaching future nursing students. Any support we can get as we transition into a more stable work and home environment is absolutely appreciated.

Again, I want to thank everyone who has always been there for us and to everyone who has come out in support. We have always felt your love and compassion and we can never thank you all enough for everything you've done.
