Meet Nora from Budapest. Our mums are best friends since their university years. She's a 37-year-old teacher, music journalist, a mother of a delightful 5-year-old daughter, and a wife of a great man. Despite facing the challenges of Marfan syndrome, an incurable, hereditary condition that affects her heart and aortas indicating many complex surgical interventions and runs in her family, Nora embraces life with a strong sense of humor and resilience. She finds joy in playing the piano, drawing, and painting, and is deeply passionate about her career as an educator and writer. Nora's journey has led her through multiple heart and aortic surgeries, the loss of her sister to the same condition 3 years ago, and a relentless pursuit of medical solutions. Recently, Nora received a new diagnosis that necessitates additional surgery. Despite of all the hardships, she remains resolute and unwavering in her pursuit of a suitable surgical alternative. Nora has sought consultations with renowned hospitals and specialized clinics across Europe, including Frankfurt, Heidelberg, and Berlin. Despite being fully aware of the immense risks and challenges that lie ahead, she continues to push open every door in her relentless pursuit of medical treatment. Her efforts have been crowned with success: she will undergo the heart operation in one of the largest clinics in Europe.
She lives in Budapest, Hungary but has been self-paying for medical treatment in German clinics since January, spending over 13,000 Euros. Her friends and fundraising efforts have provided her with 5,000 Euros of support. To pursue necessary insurance coverage, she needs to relocate with her husband and daughter to Germany, seeking employment as a teacher. In order to facilitate their relocation and adequately prepare for initial expenses such as accommodation, health insurance, nursery care, and unforeseen circumstances arising from the uncertain timing of her crucial surgical intervention, Nora and her family require a consistent and reliable source of income during the first few months. Nora's resolute determination, coupled with unwavering support from her loved ones, fuels her pursuit of a brighter future for her daughter staying with her for long - long decades, serving as an ongoing inspiration for those fortunate enough to be part of her life journey.
