NorCal 2020-2021 Future City Competition

Want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money to benefit National Engineers Week Foundation (California Northern), and any donation will help make an impact for the 63 middle school teams in our regional Future City competition.
Future City starts with a question—how can we make the world a better place? To answer it, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students imagine, research, design, and build cities of the future that showcase their solution to a citywide sustainability issue.
This flexible, cross-curricular educational program gives students an opportunity to do the things that engineers do—identify problems; brainstorm ideas; design solutions; test, retest and build; and share their results. This process is called the engineering design process. With this at its center, Future City is an engaging way to build students’ 21st century skills.
The money raised will go towards T-Shirts, prizes, awards, and the general costs for putting on the Northern California Program. Our program is run by volunteers and we don't pay any employees or contractors. 100% of the money received will go towards the cost of the competition.
