NorDan Supporting Exeter Food Bank and Devon Air Ambulance
Donation protected
Every year we at NorDan Scandic look to give back to our local community. This year we’re working with both Devon Air Ambulance and Exeter Food Bank.
We would like to raise £4,000 to split between these two great charities, and to do so we need the support of the friends and family of NorDan. As an additional bonus, NorDan aims to match what we raise for Exeter Food Bank, meaning our donation to them will be doubled.
On 29th September 2024 we’re taking part in Devon Air Ambulance Trust’s Dragon Boat Festival, where we'll race against 2 to 3 other teams at a time in at least 3 races. This is an event taking place in Exeter Quay, Exeter, EX2 8GY between 10am and 6pm, so anyone who would like to cheer us on are invited to attend and watch!
Exeter Food Bank
Last year, based off of a YouGov Survey they held, Shelter found that one in two working private renters in England would not have enough savings to pay their rent for more than a month if they lost their job (Source - Shelter England ). In our current cost of living crisis, more and more of us are living from pay cheque to pay cheque, which is why organisations such as Exeter Food Bank are more important than ever.
Exeter Food Bank are more than just a food bank: They are one of the pillars of our local area, providing financial advice, help with household goods, and assistance in budgeting and benefits.
Devon Air Ambulance Trust
Devon Air Ambulance Trust provides an invaluable service that has touched the lives of everyone in the county in one way or another. The funds they raise go towards keeping two air ambulances and a fleet of Critical Care Cars maintained, insured and piloted with doctors and paramedics.
Devon is a beautiful county, but it is also full of uneven, winding roads and remote areas that regular ambulances struggle to traverse. When accidents happen, immediate care can be the difference between life and death.
