NOREZONE Walnut Hill Elementary
Donation protected
We have launched this campaign to solicit funding to hire counsel to provide strategic guidance to property owners that live near the property that was formerly Walnut Hill Elementary who are in opposition to the planned development submitted by DISD to relocate Career Institute North to the southwest corner of Midway Rd and Killion Dr.
We are seeking your support to raise $50K and will value any donation amount ($25, $50, $100, $250, $500, $1,000 or BEST GIFT_________.)
After seven months of working with our district’s City Planning Commissioner and City Council Member to address reasonable concerns of the neighborhood we have exhausted every effort. The City Council hearing held on 9/9 has reconfirmed that point.
Time is Ticking - This fundraising effort is our last chance to stop DISD and the City of Dallas and require them to follow the City Code.
For more information including a detailed timeline of events to date visit: https://www.norezonewalnuthill.com
Thanks to all the volunteers who have already spent hundreds of hours passing out flyers, organizing our neighborhood rally, placing yard signs, and knocking on doors to engage with neighbors. We have consulted with multiple experts with experience in zoning, construction, HVAC, landscaping, civil engineering, lighting and architecture who are all concerned about how this development will change the fabric of our neighborhood.
