Urgent Plea for Veterans Norman and Renay

My name is Renay Landis, and I am hoping to urgently raise funds for myself and my husband Norman Landis. We are both U.S. Air Force veterans who love to help others and it is hard for us to ask for help especially in this time when costs are up and life is tough for so many, but our electric bill is due immediately or will be cut off in a couple weeks, our car insurance and car tax are also overdue, medical and dental bills, and we have no money for groceries or gas this month. We ask that you consider helping us with these urgent needs, and pray for our situation in addition to or even if you can’t help financially.

We have spent our lives working hard and living a good life together, and doing what we can to pay it forward and be a blessing to others. Unfortunately, the last 8 years have been extremely challenging due to changes in our health and finances. Norman is a CO poison and subsequent stroke survivor (Nov. 2014). His memory, mood and movement were all severely impacted, and his health has continued to decline over the last 8 years. He will never be able to work or drive again, and he cannot be left alone. He lives with constant, extreme anxiety, depression and memory loss.

I am Norman’s full-time caretaker. I have also been on disability since 2015 for fibromyalgia, osteoporosis, diabetes, back pain, knee replacement x2, shoulder replacement, and other medical/emotional conditions.

Our health troubles have left both of us unable to work and on an extremely tight, limited disability income. 

We have one child, our adult daughter Amanda. Our family is very close, and this has been difficult for all 3 of us. Amanda has been paying our car payment and assisting with other bills as she can, and friends and family have been generous in offering support and prayers. We have been taking it day by day, and the Lord has provided for our immediate needs. However, the bills and stress continue to pile up during this time of rising gas, grocery and daily living costs.
