Cumbria Scrub Hub (North & West)
Donation protected
We are a voluntary community group recently formed through the power of Facebook; who wanted to do all we could to help during the Coronavirus outbreak. So we are using our sewing skills to make scrubs to order for NHS staff and other front line carers throughout Cumbria.
We have almost 300 volunteers now from experienced dressmakers, to those who can't sew but are doing the admin and deliveries. All ready to support this amazing cause.
We have a website developed by one of our volunteers which enables those in the front line to order their Scrubs free of charge
http://nwcumbriascrubhub.co.uk/
Our belief is that the financial status of our front line heroes shouldn't affect their ability to access Scrubs and other equipment that they need and therefore we do not require those that need Scrubs to make a donation as we are sure our fellow Cumbrians both past and present will rally together to ensure all those Scrubs that are needed can be provided for those that selflessly work to heal and protect us and our loved ones.
We are ensuring a good standard of manufacture, with the scrubs able to withstand regular washing on a 60-degree cycle.
All funds raised will be used to cover material and delivery costs so we can make more scrubs and help more doctors, nurses, care home and home care front line workers. Any leftover funds at the end of the scrubs shortage we will donate to NHS Practitioner health, an organisation dedicated to supporting the unique needs of health care professionals and their mental health, which we feel will be of great importance in the coming months.
If you have any questions feel free to email us at [email redacted]
Thank you for your support!
