North Central Family Centre

Donation protected
We are fourth year nursing students from the University of Regina and Saskatchewan Polytechnic Collaborative Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program (SCBScN), and we are currently in one of our final practicums at North Central Family Centre. NCFC is a registered non-profit, charitable organization located on 5th Avenue in Regina, Saskatchewan. Through the Centre, many individuals have access to successful and structured programs and activities that offer Regina’s inner-city children, youth, families, and elders a safe place, which allows them to develop many skills that help support them in their lives. These programs and activities provide an opportunity to individuals to participate in educational, sporting, recreational, social, and cultural events. Through these events, the Centre hopes to improve the quality of life of all residents and continue to support the community and continue to strengthen all the great qualities this community has. NCFC helps support an average of 60 children a day with snack and supper and provides lunch to 20 people twice a week This Centre gives a safe place to so many individuals, especially children, and it is essential to continue to support them so they can continue to do all the amazing things they are doing.

We hope that with this fundraiser we can help NCFC continue to do the great things they are doing for the North Central community. With these extra funds, we hope to help support the after-school program by providing a new industrial dishwasher, helping create a sustainable food source that can help teach community members about food sustainability, and continue with their food baskets they pass out to the community and their re-homing initiative. With any extra funds fundraised, it will go towards maintenance of the three passenger vans and one minibus that helps the community access essential services around the city. These buses are used to transport food to community members, drive students to job placements, and provides a safe transportation option for the children to return home at the end of the after-school program.

All donations are appreciated, and your generosity will be recognized throughout the community.

Thank you for your support,
4th year SCBScN Nursing Students
