North Helpline Bar Mitzvah Fundraiser

Hi, My name is Ezra. In my bar mitzvah studies I have learned about the Jewish values of Tzedakah (the moral obligation of charitable giving), Chesed (loving kindness), and Tikkun Olam (repairing the world).

As part of my Mitzvah Project, I have also been volunteering at a neighborhood foodbank, called North Helpline. In my time there, I have seen that their mission is aligned with Jewish values.

Their mission statement is:

"We believe that all deserve adequate food, housing, and respect.

We assist our neighbors in obtaining basic needs that affirm their human dignity and worth."
