North Korean Refugees Find Safety

Join AAYA in making a difference for North Korean refugees. There are numerous people who flee from the brutal regime of North Korea over into China. However, they are not safe there. The Chinese police force actively search for North Korean refugees and once they are caught, they are either sent back to North Korea where a brutal punishment awaits them or, for women, can be trafficked into the sex industry. Liberty in North Korea (LiNK) works with these refugees in order to help them safely get across China and into a southeast Asian country, where they are provided the means to live in either the United States or in South Korea.
