About Us

North Pres Primary School is situated in the historic centre of Cork City under the Shandon Bells and a stone’s throw from the Cork Butter Market. We have a long and proud tradition of education on the northside of the city. Our aim is to combine the best traditions of the Presentation ethos with modern teaching aids and ideas so that our pupils can look forward to the future with confidence and skills. Our school community is very diverse and pupils from more than 40 ethnicities learn at North Pres.

Almost 300 years after Nano Nagle first began teaching the children of the locality, the teachers of North Presentation Primary School continue her legacy. Our school is a beacon of hope for the children in our community, many of whom face various challenges. We believe that every child deserves the best possible education, and we work tirelessly to make that a reality. In recent years, we have developed our school grounds to include a wildlife corridor, an outdoor classroom, a sensory garden, and a synthetic playground complete with a running track.

New Interactive Whiteboards

In line with our Digital Learning Plan, we hope to upgrade our existing whiteboards in the school in the coming years. Accordingly, we are fundraising this year to purchase 3 new interactive whiteboards.

The total cost of these interactive whiteboards is €12,000, a substantial amount for our school. We are reaching out to businesses, residents, and organisations in our community, as we hope that your support can help us achieve this goal.

Interactive whiteboards will allow our dedicated teachers to deliver engaging lessons, foster active participation, and bring learning to life through interactive activities and multimedia resources.

We would be very grateful to all who can help us purchase these whiteboards. Your contribution, no matter the size, will make a significant impact on the education of our students. To express our gratitude, we plan to recognise our donors on our school website, on our social media channels, and through other appropriate means.

North Presentation Primary School is an approved body under the charitable donation scheme. This means that tax relief may apply to qualifying donations. If you, as a company, donates €250 or more in a year, the company can claim a tax deduction as if the donation was a trading expense.
