North2Alaska - Race to Alaska 2019
Donation protected
Three teenagers, a twenty two year old, and a sixty five year old cast their mooring lines for the adventure that is Race to Alaska. A 750 mile race from Port Townsend, WA - Ketchikan, AK. No help, no support, no engines all the way up the Inside Passage to Alaska.
The money goes to food, and boat equipment. As this is a homemade 25' aluminum sailing Maryland Sharpie by Greg & Henry Veitenhans built right there in the net shed, using pine trees cut down in the yard. Don't think it'll work? We already finished the race, and this year we have new and improved technology that will help us win the glory of 1st place in R2AK.
