Northamptonshire Badger Group Rescue Fund

We are fundraising for our badger rescue fund. Northamptonshire is actively involved in the welfare of badgers in Northamptonshire. We offer a rescue service for sick and injured badgers. Many are sadly road traffic casualties and need urgent veterinary treatment. It generally costs a minimum of £100 for each rescued badger's initial emergency vet treatment, plus ongoing costs should they need rehabilitation. Cubs cost significantly more due to the long-term rehabilitation they need.

In 2023, we rescued over 20 badgers, including cubs, where we went on to release them into purpose-built artificial sett with support feeding.

We are approaching peak rescue season with badgers on the move, cubs are here, and it is peak time for road traffic collisions and territorial fight wounds. Any donation you can give will help our small volunteer-led group do all we can for badgers in Northamptonshire.
